2011 Bulletin announcements

Dear Church Leader;

Below are announcements pre-written for your bulletin, newsletter or projection system.  Would you, please, take the time to enter as an announcement for your church for the months of November and December?  These can also be downloaded from www.outdoorministries.org.

Bulletin Announcements
February 18 & 25: It’s time to start thinking, again, about summer.  Soon, school will be out and our children will have too much time on their hands and too much to do, all at the same time.  Outdoor Ministries in the Southern Ohio District is ready now to take reservations for Summer Camps at WOODLAND ALTARS.  Hiking, horseback riding, swimming, singing and crafting are all parts of a summer program built around Bible study and focused on God.  The Bible study theme this year is “SECRETS OF THE KINGDOM: The Parables of Jesus".  Take a few moments this week to look at your calendar, visit the Outdoor Ministries’ web site and decide which camp is best for your son, daughter or grandchild. Early Bird registrations close March 1. Register on-line at www.outdoorministries.org using the On-Line Registration link.

March 4 & 11: Do you remember when you were young?  It may not have been that many years ago.  Did you spend time at summer camp?  Was it a church camp?  Do you remember how scared you were to be left on that first day?  What about how sad you were to leave your friends at the end of the week?  Do you still have friends you met at camp?  Do you remember how much closer you felt to God?  Don’t you want to allow your child or grandchild to have the same experiences?  Outdoor Ministries in the Southern Ohio District is ready now to take reservations for Summer Camps at WOODLAND ALTARS.  Visit the Outdoor Ministries’ web site at www.outdoorministries.org and learn more about the terrific programs that are scheduled.

March 18 & 25: The Swinging Bridge.  Heritage Ridge.  The Ranch House.  Logger’s Well.  Strawberry Hill.  Ringing any bells?  If you were a camper at Woodland Altars, you probably have some great memories to share.  Wouldn’t it be great to share these stories with your children and then listen as they tell you their own stories about 448 of the most beautiful acres on God’s creation?  The Outdoor Ministries’ staff is now accepting camp reservations for Summer camps.  Discounts are offered for those who register before April 15.  Ask the church’s camp rep or visit www.outdoorministries.org for more information.

April 1 & 8:  Imagine a place where love is the norm.  A place where emphasis is put on accepting every person.  A place where Christ is the center of all activity and there is no fear in admitting God is the focus of your life.  SECRETS OF THE KINGDOM: The Parables of Jesus is the Bible study theme this year.  Love is a theme every year.  Take time this week to register your child or grandchild for camp.  Perhaps you can find a camp both of you can attend, and you can reconnect with your child, yourself, and your God.  Take a few moments this week to look at your calendar and visit the Outdoor Ministries’ web site at www.outdoorministries.org.

April 15: Today's the date rates increase for Outdoor Ministries’ camp at Woodland Altars.  Don’t miss the chance to save on a week for your son, daughter, grandchild or even yourself at camp, getting close to nature, friends and God.  If you miss the April 15 deadline for the reduced rate, don’t worry.  Many camps still have openings and, even without the reduced rate, the camps are a great deal – considerably lower than most week long camps.  Oh, and the lodges are air-conditioned.  Visit the Outdoor Ministries’ web site at www.outdoorministries.org.

April 22, 29, May 6 & 13: There is still time to register for camps with Outdoor Ministries.  Horse Camp.  Eco-Adventures.  Fishing Camp.  Wilderness Survival.  Youth Camp.  Performing Arts Camp.  Quilt Camp.  Plenty of others are available at Woodland Altars. Look at the Outdoor Ministries’ web site at www.outdoorministries.org.
