How Shall We Pray?

I Thessalonians 5:17

Registration Information :

Basic registration , lodging & five meals - $70.00. Saturday only , two meals - $30.00. Lodging in a chalet, $25.00 additional per person (minimum 4 women)

Due to camp restructuring, ALL REGISTRATIONS and MONEY MUST BE RECEIVED BY August 15 th . We honor Visa and MasterCard. Fee is refundable should the event be cancelled due to low attendance, or at registrant's request prior to Aug. 22 nd .

Check-in time : Between 7:30 and 8:30 PM Friday at upper level of Heritage Lodge. Departure will be Sunday after Love Feast and Communion (approximately 1:00 ).

 Please bring : Your Bible, 3 skeins of yarn, large knitting needles or crochet hook (instructions for making a prayer shawl will be available for those who knit, crochet, or would like to learn), a journal and a pen, clothing suitable for outdoor activities, towels, bedding, toiletries, flashlight, a game you can share with others, snacks to share in the evening, a favorite reading, poem, scripture or prayer

This weekend retreat led by Jan King will help us understand God's desire for an on-going relationship through active prayer. We will examine and practice a variety of creative ways of praying and you'll have opportunity to develop some new prayer forms. Mostly, come "listen" to the ways God speaks to you. Jan Glass King is an ordained minister in the Church of the Brethren and has received training as a spiritual director. She lives in Martinsburg , PA with her husband, Scott, and their two "adopted" pets, Nicki and BoJangles. Jan is entering her 11th year as Congregational Life Team staff for the General Board and served on the district staff for Atlantic Northeast District for 15 years. She considers "prayer" one of her most passionate interests and has made that a focus in her ministry with the elderly.
